7 little-known tips for Instagram Stories
As we all know, Instagram stories help you to get more Instagram followers and likes. But the secret is to create appealing stories to grow your account. Do you want to create better Instagram Stories? This article may help you. Indeed, this type of content is used by more than 500 million users daily and will no doubt surpass the visibility of conventional posts in the years to come.
To be competitive with Snapchat, Instagram has released dozens of new items since 2016 (date of creation of the Stories) such as stickers, hands-free mode, filters, and many more. We offer this article summarizing seven tips often overlooked by Community Managers to master better all of the features offered in the Stories.
1) Pause a Story we are watching
It happens very often that when we look at the Stories of our IG followers, we want to spend more time than expected by the application on a slide. Some users will then click on the left side of their screen to return to the Story that they have not had time to consume in its entirety. But there is an even simpler and faster way, pausing.
To do this, you must remain pressed on the screen with your finger to stop reading the story photo or video.
2) How to create a background of the color of your choice
This tip of filling the screen with a single color can be very useful if you want to share a visual with drawings/texts rather than a photo/video.
To do this, you just need to click on the “Pencil” icon, then select a color with the eyedropper, then keep pressed on the screen for a few seconds.
3) How to zoom in and out when producing a video with one finger
If you want to add some effects to your videos or highlight a specific element, you can zoom in or out with one finger.
To do this, you need to keep pressing the white video capture button in the Stories screen and slide your finger up or down to zoom in or out.
4) Add many hashtags and hide them
In the same way, as for classic posts, there is a referencing of Stories according to the hashtags present on them. However, it can quickly become unattractive to see a whole list of keywords in your photo/video.
There is then a trick to benefit from SEO effects without its drawbacks; move the hashtags under a sticker.
5) Activate Stories notifications
Unlike the previous tip, you might want to be alerted when your favorite account has just posted its latest Story.
To do this, simply go to the account in question, then click on the three small dots located at the top right of the screen, you will then have access to a list of options, including “Turn on Story Notifications.”
6) How to easily share a classic post in your Story
For many reasons, it can be interesting to share a post from an external account or yours in your Stories. However, the method for achieving this objective is not necessarily known to all. To promote a classic photo/video post in your Stories, simply go to its screen, and then click on the “Paper plane” button. You will then have the proposal “Add a post to your Story”.
7) Record a video without keeping your finger pressed
For many Community Managers, it can be seen as quite painful to have to keep their finger pressed on the screen to record a video that they will post in their Stories. To avoid this, Instagram offers a specifically adapted filming mode called “Hands-Free”.
You will then have access to all of the options for personalizing your recorded content, as is the case for the other production methods, notably “Normal / Standard.”
